Mystefied about how to copy and paste from the Command Prompt in Windows? This tutorial explains how to copy and paste text from the Command Prompt screen into other documents and applications in Windows.
Click on the "C:\" icon at the top left-hand corner of the window. This will open a menu.
From the menu, select Edit then click on Mark.
Using your mouse cursor, highlight the text that you want to copy. Once the text is highlighted, hit the enter key on your keyboard to copy the text to the Windows Clipboard.
To paste the text into a document or email message, for exmaple, press Ctrl+V on your keyboard. In many programs, you can find a Paste option under the Edit menu which can also be used to paste the text from the clipboard.
