Are you missing Hover renewal notices or do you see them going into your Spam folder? Follow this tutorial for instructions on how to allow email from Hover in common third party email services.
In this lesson we'll be covering the following email service providers:
Gmail
Yahoo
Hotmail
Road Runner
AOL
Comcast
Earthlink
Netzero
GoDaddy
MySpace
If you have your Hover renewal notices sent to a third party service provider that isn't included in this list, then you should contact your provider and ask how you can mark help@hover.com as a safe sender.
Enter help@hover.com in the From: box then click on Next Step.
Put a check next to "Never send it to Spam" then click Create Filter.
All done! Any future renewal notices from help@hover.com will go to your Inbox folder.
To keep our renewal notices out of your Yahoo Spam folder, you will need to create a filter.
Log into your Yahoo inbox then click on Options and select Mail Options.
Open Filters then click on Create or edit filters.
Click Add.
Complete the following:
1. Type a name, such as Hover, for the filter.
2. Type help@hover.com in the "From header: contains" text field.
3. Select "Move the message to: Inbox."
4. Click Add Filter.
All new email from help@hover.com will bypass your spam folder and go directly to your Inbox.
Log into your Hotmail account then click on Options and select More options.
Under Junk e-mail, click on Safe and blocked senders.
Click on Safe senders.
Under "Sender or domain to mark as safe:" type hover.com then click on Add to list.
All notices from Hover will now be marked as safe.
Log into your Road Runner webmail using your primary email address.
Click on Manage parental control.
There are two options to choose from:
1. Select Don't filter Junk Mail. This will completely disable spam filtering and allow all email into your Road Runner inbox. This will allow our renewal notices, but could also let through spam email.
2. Enter hover.com in the Allowed Senders and Domains text box. This will allow any email sent from a hover.com email address.
Click OK after making changes to your settings.
Messages from your AOL address book contacts will generally skip the spam folder and go straight to your Inbox.
Log into your AOL inbox then click on Contacts.
Click on New and select New Contact.
Enter Hover as the contact name, type help@hover.com in the Email 1 text box, then click on Create.
You can also adjust or completely disable the spam filtering settings in your AOL account. To do this, click on Settings.
Click Spam Settings.
Spam Settings can be set to Off, Low, Medium, or High. Be sure to click on Save after making any changes.
Add help@hover.com to your Comcast address book to ensure that renewal notices go to your inbox instead of the spam folder. Click on this link for Comcast's instructions on how to add an e-mail address to you address book.
Add hover.com as a safe domain name in your Earthlink Safe List to ensure that you receive Hover renewal notices. Earthlink has step by step instructions for adding a safe domain at this URL: http://wl.s4m2.com/earthlink.php
The Netzero Do Not Block List will make sure that messages from safe senders get to your Inbox. Add help@hover.com to your Do Not Block List to mark our renewal notices as Safe. Click on this link for Netzero's instructions for using the Do Not Block List:
You can either:
1. Set Spam Filtering to Off. This will let all email into your inbox without any spam filtering.
or
2. Click on Add New to add help@hover.com to your Allowed List.
Enter help@hover.com then click OK.
Help@hover.com is now in the Allowed List.
All contacts in your MySpace Address Book are considered trusted senders.
Log into your MySpace Inbox then click on Address Book.
Click Add Contact.
Fill in the following:
1. Enter Hover as the contact name.
2. Enter help@hover.com in the "Email:" text field.
3. Click Save.
The contact has been added to the address book and all new email from help@hover.com will go directly to the Inbox.
