This tutorial provides the default records for domains registered in Hover, just in case you changed your settings and need to revert back to our system defaults.
Please note that your domain name needs to be pointed at ns1.hover.com and ns2.hover.com in the Name Servers under the Account tab in Hover for these records to take affect.
When a domain name is registered in Hover the DNS records below are created by default. Changing these records can negatively impact the services that rely on your domain settings, such as domain forwarding, e-mail, Web Mail, and your Hovers.
Please note that TLD is an acronym for top-level domain. Examples of top-level domains are .com, .net, .org, .info, and .biz.
A Records:
yourdomainname.tld -> 64.99.80.30
*.yourdomainname.tld -> 64.99.80.30
CNAME Records:
mail.yourdomainname.tld -> mail.hover.com.cust.hostedemail.com
MX Record:
mx.hover.com.cust.hostedemail.com
If you have modified your DNS records and need to revert back to Hover's default DNS records click on Reset to Default in the Manage DNS section.
Click Proceed.
Click OK.
The records in the screenshot above are the default records for any new domains that are registered through Hover.
