Gmail

Would you like to send and receive email using a personalized email address such as bevis@barber.net instead of a branded webmail account like beavis.barber@gmail.com? Gmail allows you to use your hover forwarding email address as the from address when sending outgoing mail.

Set up your Forwarding

First you will need to set up your Hover Email forward to send to the email address you are receiving through Gmail. We have put together an article on setting up your email forwarding here. Once that is done you can set up the sending using the following instructions:

Set Up The Gmail From Address

Click on Settings, select the Accounts and Import tab, then click on the "Send mail from another address" button.

The verification email may arrive in your Gmail Inbox, or your Gmail Spam folder, as in the example above. Open the verification email.

The confirmation email contains both the manual confirmation code and an automatic confirmation URL that you can open to verify the account.

After the account verification has been completed, Gmail will allow you to send email using your forwarding account.

If you want all of your outgoing messages to be sent using your hover address instead of Gmail by default, go back into Settings, click on the "Accounts and Import" tab, then click on the "make default" link next to your hover address.
