This lesson explains how you can download your Hover email messages directly into your Gmail inbox using POP3.

Log into www.gmail.com with your Gmail email address and password.

Click on Settings.

Click on Accounts and Import.

Click on the "Add POP3 email account" button.

Enter your Hover email address and click Next Step.

The following settings need to be entered:

Username: enter your full Hover email address
Password: enter your Hover email password
POP server: mail.hover.com

It is suggested to put a check next to "Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server" to retain a back up copy of messages on the Hover server, and to allow you to download your Hover email to more than one POP system or email program.

Click on Add Account after the mail settings have been entered.

If you want to send email from Gmail using your Hover email address as the from address, select "Yes, I want to be able to send mail as <your Hover email>" then click Next Step.

Type your name then click Next Step.

Select "Send through Gmail (easier to set up)" then click Next Step.

Click Send Verification.

Get the confirmation code from your Hover email inbox. In the example above, I logged into https://mail.hover.com with the Hover email address and password to access the verification email from the Inbox.

Enter the confirmation code in the Gmail window then click Verify.

Email sent to the Hover email address will now be downloaded directly into the Gmail inbox using POP3, as in the example above.

Outbound email can be sent using the Hover email address.
