Internet Explorer 8

Adding the "Hover This!" button to your Internet Explorer toolbar makes it easy to create new Hovers and post links to your Twitter account!

Right click your mouse on the Internet Explorer toolbar and select "Favorites Bar."

The Favorites bar is displayed now.

Log into your Hover account at https://www.hover.com/login. Scroll down to the bottom of the website, right-click on "Hover This!" and select "Add to favorites..."

A Hover This! button has been added to the browser toolbar.

Next, you can visit any website then click on the Hover This! button to create a new Hover shortcut.

The following options are available:

1. Domain: Allows you to choose any domain in your Hover account to use with the new Hover shortcut.
2. Hover Name: This is the name for the new Hover and affects the redirection URL.
3. Redirects To: The address of the website is automatically inserted when you click on the Hover This! button.
4. Make this Hover a subdomain: For registered domains only. Allows you to create a subdoomain forward such as hover.yourdomain.com instead of yourdomain.com/hover.
5. Post to Twitter: Use this feature if you want to post a message to your Twitter account with the Hover shortcut.

In the example above, I'm creating a Hover called hockeyshop that will redirect http://bevis.barber.net/hockeyshop to the CBC shop page on the screen.

The first time you create a Hover that you want to post to Twitter, you will need to authorize us to post on your behalf. Use the "Click here" link to begin the authorization process.

Enter your Twitter username and password then click on Allow.

After clicking on Allow, you will be redirected to the Hover website and a status message will let you know that the Twitter authorization has been completed.

Now that the Twitter authorization has been completed, you can create Hovers and post them directly to Twitter along with a message for your followers.
