This tutorial will step you through preparing a domain at Moniker for a transfer to Hover.
Domain transfers will be outright rejected if:
* the domain name is locked (this tutorial will show you how to unlock your domain name)
* the domain name was registered or transferred in the past 60 days
* the authorization code provided is invalid (this tutorial will show you how to obtain the authorization code)
* the domain name is in redemption
* there is an unresolved domain dispute (a form of registrar lock)

Other top-level domains, such as .AT domains, have a slightly different transfer process. For example, you do not need to unlock .AT domain names or obtain an authorization code.
*The .UK and .CA registries only allow domain privacy if the domain registrant / owner is an individual. Organizations cannot have privacy enabled.
Visit https://www.moniker.com and log in with your account username or account number and password.
Click on My Domains.
Put a check next to the domain name to be transferred and then click on Contacts.
Click on the domain name.
Type your real email address in the text box, put a check next to Change to Non-Private Contact, and then click Save.
Check your Registrant Contact and Administrative Contact for accuracy. If your email address is not correct, select Create a New Registrant Contact and fill out the fields with your name, address, email, and telephone contact details.
Under Administrative Contact, select Use Registrant (Above).
The Billing and Technical Contacts do not affect the outcome of a domain transfer. You can leave them as is, set them to use the registrant contact details, or enter custom information. When all of your contacts are filled in, scroll down and click on Save.
You will receive a system message that the domain has been updated successfully. It may take up to 24 hours for these changes to take effect.
Click on My Domains.
Put a check next to the domain name to be transferred and then click on Transfer-Out.
Scroll down and complete the Transfer Out Authorization Form:
Reason for Transferring Out: Choose any of the available options
Suggestions and / or Reason: In the suggestions box I recommend typing a brief message such as "Please unlock my domain name and provide me with the transfer authorization code."
Put a check next to "I Have Read and Understand Moniker's Transfer Out Policy and Services Agreement" then click on Save.
You will need to wait for Moniker support to unlock your domain and send you an email with your transfer authorization code. Once that has been completed, then you can proceed to the next step!
Moniker will unlock your domain and send you an email with your transfer authorization code. Record your authorization code (include everything AFTER the comma).
If you made changes to your domain contact information, use a WHOIS look up tool to verify that the new contact information has propagated. Changes to domain names might take a couple of hours to appear. You can perform a WHOIS look up using the following websites: http://www.smartwhois.com/ or http://whois.domaintools.com/
