Visit http://www.1and1.com and click on the Customer Login link.

Login with your customer ID and password.

Click on the drop down menu beside the Start button and click on the Domains & Webspace link.

Click on Domains.

Click on the arrow next to Transfers and select Lock/Unlock.

Change the Status to Unlock, then click OK.

Click Go To Overview.

The domain status will change to updating until the changes have propagated. It may take a couple of hours for your domain lock status to be updated.
