This article provides information on Register.com's transfer approval process.
When you transfer any domain name the losing registrar, at their own discretion, may either acknowledge and approve the outbound transfer request immediately, or they can hold the domain name for a period of 5 days. This gives registrars time to verify the legitimacy of outbound transfers to prevent domain hijacking.
Register.com's standard policy is to approve transfer requests automatically after the 5 day hold period. Register.com may contact you by email during the 5 day hold period to confirm your domain transfer request. If you receive an email from Register.com, please follow their instructions to approve your transfer request. This will expedite the transfer to Hover and prevent it from being canceled by Register.com.
After your transfer has been completed, you will receive a Congrats! email like the one above.
